About Bill Powlesland

For over 40 years, Bill has worked as a Professional Engineer in the Environmental Engineering field. In 1987, his company IAQ Inc. was established, of which Bill remains sole owner and president. As a partner in a previous company, Bill was involved in the manufacturing of industrial fans, heating equipment, and air cleaning equipment for 20 years. After the establishment of IAQ, another 20 years was dedicated to manufacturing air curtains, along with his engineering consulting services.  With his extensive experience in the industry, Bill co-patented and manufactured a Scrubber to remove toxic and odourous hydrogen sulphide gases from industrial air streams. 

Bill’s commitment to excellence in the engineering services industry is rooted in his care for his family as a father and a grandfather, and in his volunteer work within his community and beyond. Living in and surrounded by the beauty of Muskoka, is a constant reminder of his responsibility to protect the natural world. This is his daily passion.
